Film And Tv Program
FILM/TV CREATION from studio to set
American Theater Dance Workshop is excited to announce a brand new Film/TV partnership, in collaboration with REELARC, an industry leader in scene creation and production for actors. Our new TV/film program for aspiring actors (ages 6-26) looking to work in the New York TV and film industry will give each actor the opportunity to have a customized scene produced, developed and created specifically for them on a professional set.
Scene Creation Workshop
Young actors will gain valuable experience working on set by collaborating closely with a professional creative team consisting of a director, writer, and editor. This comprehensive experience will culminate in their scene creation being produced and shot on a professional set complete with sound, lighting, scoring, and edits. The finalized scene can then be included on their reel which can be shared with agents, managers, and casting directors.
The Six-Week Program
Further, this six-week program will begin by defining the genre and tone for the scene. The development process will focus on capturing the actor's most identifiable and specific character personality traits while also considering where they fit within the NY procedural drama and film universe. The goal is to create a scene that effectively showcases them to casting professionals and representation.
Preparing for work on-set
Throughout the program, the scene will be workshopped, blocked, and refined based on in-class exercises. This approach aims to prepare the actors for working quickly and efficiently on set before transitioning into a professional environment designed for their success. Actors will be paired up with another actor and the scene will be shot and edited from both actors point of view.
